Temporary measures are currently being applied to those who are entering Japan from China. After 00:00 JST on January 12th, 2023, all those who are entering Japan via a direct flight from China (including Macau, excluding Hong Kong) are required to obtain a certificate of Pre-departure Test.
Please pre-register the information required for quarantine procedures via “Visit Japan Web”. We request that all travelers use “Visit Japan Web” which can be accessed from the link below, as it will take an extended period of time to confirm documents for those who do not use it.

- Those who are unable to use “Visit Japan Web” must submit a Questionnaire at quarantine. Please fill it before arriving.
- Those who are unable to present a valid vaccination certificate or a valid certificate of inspection will not be allowed to enter Japan, as based on Quarantine Law, and will be denied boarding the aircraft in the country of departure.
- Those entering Japan with symptoms of suspected COVID-19 infection will be tested upon arrival. Furthermore, those who test positive will be required to quarantine at a designated facility.
