The Story
In 1959 Serge Jurasunas by himself, decided to immigrate from France to the USA and lived in Los Angeles where two years later, he had the good fortune to meet Dr. Bernard Jensen, a truly historical figure, a true legend within the realm of naturopathy, nutrition and iridology. A real pioneer, a philosopher and spiritual doctor as well, who influenced his life, destiny, who became his mentor and good friend until he died in 2001. Dr. Jensen teaches him all the secrets of nature and of the healing arts which today have no more meaning in our modern medicine.
Serge Jurasunas is most impressed by how Dr. Jensen examined the iris of the eyes of patients and told them about their health condition. From this day Serge Jurasunas decided to become a naturopath-iridologist and to dedicate his life treating disease using natural methods and teach people how to keep healthy. Later he moved to Quebec Canada to found a school of naturopathy and to take a course in French language. Early in his practice he showed great interest to investigate what is cancer and how to treat this disease which led him to start investigating it.
It was not easy to find some publications, but in Montreal in 1967 he was lucky to find the book by Dr. Max Gerson a Austrian medical doctor. A Cancer Therapy published in N.Y.C in 1846. It was a good beginning for many years this book is considered as the Bible of cancer for doctors of alternative medicine although at that time the word alternative did not exist. Natural medicine, naturopathy, biological medicine is the definition. Five years later in 1972 in Lisbon somehow, he met with Mrs. Charlotte Strauss the daughter of Dr. Max Gerson and she invited him to speak the same year at the Congress of the International Association for Cancer Victims and Friends International Association in New York (USA).
Europe
After several years spent in Montreal he moved back to Europe and traveled first to Germany to learn more about iridology and cancer and discovered the Warburg theory on cancer that today after over 50 years finally emerged known as the Warburg Effect. In Germany he met with Professor Joseph Deck, considered as a world authority in iridology and offered him his important book “Principle of Iridology Diagnosis”. He stayed in Paris for one year to study and collaborate, offering some iridology teaching at the French School of Naturopathy run by P. V. Marchesseau, biologist, known as the father of French Naturopathy. Marchesseau is a very knowledgeable man and a great teacher.
Years later he is lucky enough to meet and learn from a scientific brain like Robert Bradford of American Biologic, one of the founders of Capital University of Integrative Medicine in Washington and pioneer in developing the oxidative dried blood test and the Live Blood Analysis. Bob opened a hospital of alternative Medicine for cancer treatment in Mexico and was busy doing research at the Bradford Research Institute. Alfred Vogel the famous Swiss doctor, the famous Catherine Kousmine a Russian doctor from Switzerland working with cancer during 50 years that he met at his home and spent time with her talking about her method and about the organic germanium of K. Asai in the treatment of cancer, the father of organic germanium.
He also learned from reading many important books such as Max Gerson, Arnold Ehret’s, Bernard Jensen, John Tilden, M. Platen, F.E. Bilz, G. Enderlein, Antoine Bechamps, N. Culpeper, Hans Niepper, Ralph Bircher Benner, Salmanoff, Paul Seeger one of the greatest of all cancer researchers. He also got acquainted with Chinese Traditional Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine, Tibetan Medicine and Japanese Traditional Medicine to better understand the association between the body, mind and spirit and how to treat the body as whole. In fact Serge Jurasunas followed not only the Hippocratic Oath but also the Hippocratic principle of how to understand and treat the disease without harming. Primum Non Nocere.
Over the past decades Serge Jurasunas built up a library rich with thousands of books including old medical books of pioneers such as the work of Hippocrates (18th century).
